Gradius III Codes

There are a few different places you can enter codes for Gradius III. I am going to seperate the codes based on where they're entered to make it easier for you. There is one code you can enter anywhere though it's not really a code it just resets your system:

System Reset: Hold L + R and hit Select

 

At the title screen

30 Extra Ships: hold LEFT and press A, A, A, Start

Extra Credits: Spam the X button then press Start before the screen fades

 

After pausing the game

Suicide: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start

Full Powerups: Up, Up, Down, Down, L, R, L, R, B, A

 

In the Options Menu

Arcade Mode: Rapidly tap the A button until the level turns into Arcade Mode

 

At Weapon Select screen

At the weapons select screen press Right on the D-pad to enter the screen you need to input the password below.

Random Weapon Select: X, Y, X, X, Y, Y, X, Y

 

 

Gradius III - Bonus Stages

There are 5 total bonus stages in Gradius III, this list will tell you how to access each one of them. When you enter a bonus stage you won't have to fight the boss of the original level, a successful clear of the bonus stage will put you in the next level. However, if you fail to clear a bonus stage you will be put back at the start of the level you entered the bonus stage from. Also, if you fail a bonus stage you will not be able to enter it again.

Stage 2: When you see a hole in the wall at the bottom of the screen fly down and inside

Stage 3: A prereq for reaching this bonus stage is you must destroy all the ground targets in the stage up to where the bonus level is. You can find the bonus level at the lower level of the stage there'll be a platform from the ceiling that drops down. You'll want to fly just below the part where the platform is.

Stage 4: This level has a lot of Moai heads in it but in the very last set of them you'll notice one that's initially lying down that will lift itself up as you get near.

Stage 5: In order to reach this bonus stage your score's 100th digit meaning 1X00 if your score is 1000 must be a 5, 7 or 3 for this bonus stage to be here. The bonus stage is located just below the ceiling before the narrow corridor.

Stage 7: Just after the long downward slope in the second half of the level stay close to the ground and fly into the wall formation on the right.
