Eikichi Demon Questions - Persona 2: Innocent Sin Guides

This page is designed to be an information dump about the Contact system in Persona 2: Innocent Sin. I had a small amount of fun with this system but ended up being very interested in the specifics of how it worked. Since there is so little information online about this system and my job as a guide writer is to break down different aspects of games and explain them... I seen a perfect opportunity with this game.

So, the first thing I would like to talk about on these pages is my experience with different types of questions. You may already know this part but there are some questions which are only asked by certain types of monsters and some questions which are only directed at certain characters. Different emotions typically have different questions/responses as well.

For example, the Angry emotion has many different questions that the monster can ask you and often times those questions end up being lose/lose situations. Where no matter what you answer there's always a chance that the monster is going to become more irate with you. This brings me to my next point and that's there are some questions that have set answers and set outcomes and other questions which are totally RNG.

Questions with set in stone answers will always give you the same outcome when you answer them a certain way. Other questions involve a lot of RNG and how the monster reacts to one of your answers varies and is left to chance. The difference between these two types of questions is partly what I made this guide to document. I also wanted to document which emotions the questions with set in stone answers raised.

Like I said at the top of this guide, I designed it to mostly be an information dump. I took screenshots of almost every question I got from demons in this game and I sorted them based on arbitrary categories that I think they belong in. Below each screenshot you'll find information about this question that I learned through my days of experimentation and trial/error. Hopefully this information helps some of you guys out there!

Eikichi Are You Sick

Eikichi is the only person who will ever be asked this question, as you can see from the answers. In my experience the best answer to pick here is Don't worry about me, darlin'. This will typically end the conversation and raise the Happy emotion for the demon. Maybe I got lucky each time this queston came up as far as RNG goes but in my experience the demon typically accepts #2 as an answer.

If you try answering #1 or #3 it'll typically result in the demon getting Angry with you.

Eikichi Are You Sick 2

As you can probably tell from the dialogue options this question will only happen to Eikichi. In my experience picking the first two answers will result in either an Eager response or a "You're lying and I know it!" response. For most of these questions I feel like there is always a chance of a "You're lying" response and the demon getting Angry.

Scram, punk always results in raising the Angry emotion in my experience.

Eikichi Turned Into Tree

This is a question with set in stone answers from what I have seen. I'm not sure if I have ever seen a monster reject me from giving them either answer #1 or answer #2. More often than not I answer this question with No! I'm prettier than some dumb tree! when I am asked, typically this raises Eager or Happy emotions.

Eikichi What Do You Eat

In my experience this entire question is RNG oriented, no matter what you answer there's always a chance that the monster will reject your answer and become angry with you. I strongly recommend you choose answer #1 though, I'm a vegetarian, baby! since I believe that answer will least often result in a negative response.

Truthfully, just look at answers #2 and #3, both are provoking the demon so unless you want to do that you should avoid those answers.

Eikichi What Are You

You'd think that this question is asked to everyone on your team but I have only ever seen Eikichi asked it. From my experience every answer to this question is RNG too - which means it doesn't matter how you answer it there's always a chance your answer is rejected. Although I will say that I typically answer it with I'm a human! - that seems to end the dialogue with the monster which is typically the outcome I want anyway.

Why do you seek to pass on genetics

Eikichi is the only person ever asked this question and in my experience both answers are set in stone with a very small amount of RNG. Unless I am remembering incorrectly each time I answer this question - regardless of what answer I provide - the monster typically will accept the answer and drop the subject. I'm not sure I have ever seen a monster get Angry from a response to this question.
