A Knight's Tales - Toussaint (Blood and Wine)

Area: Toussaint
Location: Castel Ravello Vineyard
Quest Giver: Castel Ravello Vineyard Notice Board
Other Requirements: N/A

This quest starts by picking up the notice on the Notice Board at Castel Ravello Vineyard. Once you've accepted it you'll want to travel to the quest area due west of Castel Ravello Vineyard where you'll find Woodcutter Jacob (pictured above). Speak with him to update the quest then examine the bleeding tree and rock next to him as well the stump near him.

Speak with Jacob again once you've examined everything to update your quest and send you to the witch's house who lives northwest of where we are now. When you arrive you'll want to examine the bear skin on the wall inside of the hut to advance the quest forward.

Note: If you do not examine everything in the house then you'll only get two options at the witch, "Life the Curse, or else" as well as "Can life the curse myself". If you examine everything in the house you'll get the option, "Just lift the curse. Please?" which is the best option to choose for this quest.

When you speak with the witch you'll be presented with three different choices (assuming you investigated everything in the house). Every option here will change the rest of the quest a little bit. Being nice to the Witch and saying please will give you the best outcome for all parties involved. Threatening her will result in a fight between you and her.

Below are all three of the options and what you can expect from choosing it:

Just life the curse. Please?

In order to lift the curse you'll need to get a piece of Sir Gareth's remains which are found in a cave underneathe the Witch's house. There will be some kikimores that you'll need to defeat in this cave before you're able to touch these remains. You'll find the remains on a raised ledge in the cave, climb up a few rocks to reach it (pictured above).

Once you have Sir Gareth's remains in hand return to Jacob and speak with him to complete the quest.

Can life the curse myself

This choice lets you leave the house without fighting the Witch but you'll receive no help on lifting the curse. You'll technically have two options if you choose this line of dialogue, first thing you can do is go to the tree and try to lift the curse and fail. This will result in the lady who is cursed being turned into a Wraith and you'll have to fight her.

If you choose this choice, you can still get the "good" ending (above) by visiting the cave with the Kikimores and looting Sir Gareth's remains. Regardless of your choice the quest will complete once you're done.

Life the Curse, or else

Choosing this option will result in a fight with the Witch and her pet panther. Once you defeat the two of them they'll agree to help Geralt; your quest will update and you'll be sent back to Jacob. However when you arrive you'll discover that Jacob is gone, use your Witcher Senses to discover and follow the foot prints.

You'll find Morholt and Jacob a short distance away from the tree, the Witch cursed Morholt and had him kill his master. Kill Morholt and then grab the Crowns by Jacob's corpse (your payment for the quest). The quest will complete here.
