Quest #156 Inn Search of an Inny - Stornway Inn

Quest Requirements: Give Patty a Birdsong Nectar, Astral Plume, Technicolour Dreamcloth and a Brilliant Biscuit then speak to her and Erinn a few times

Quest Pre-Requirements: Side Quest #137 and Side Quest #139 Complete; This is a DLC Quest

Reward: Veteran's Armour

This quest begins by speaking with Patty behind the counter of the Stornway Inn. Unless you've completed Side Quests #137 and Side Quest #139 you won't be able to accept this quest. For this quest you'll need to bring Patty a variety of items - most can be collected at any time but one of them, Brilliant Biscuit, won't drop unless you've got this quest accepted.

Below I have created a succinct list of all four items that Patty asks you to bring her and how to obtain them. For more information about the Brilliant Biscuit item scroll down the page a bit further.

Birdsong Nectar: 3 Nectar + 1 Fresh Water + 5 Sleeping Hibiscus (Alchemy Combine)

Astral Plume: 3 Flurry Feather + 2 Fresh Water + 1 Angel Bell (Alchemy Combine) + Drops from Grotto Chests

Technicolour Dreamcloth: 3 Grubby Bandage + 1 Brighten Rock + 1 Celestial Skein (Alchemy Combine) + Drops from Grotto Chests

Brilliant Biscuit: Dropped by Gem Jamboree enemies in mid-high level Grottos

Gem Jamboree enemies are found in many different types of mid - high level Grottos in my experience, although they seem to appear more often in Nature or Ruin type Grottos. Despite appearing in many different types of Grottos these enemies are moderate-rare spawns within the Grottos themselves.

These enemies operate very similar to Metal Slimes in my experience, not just with their spawn rate but they will run from battle too and can be difficult to defeat since your attacks hit for 1 damage each. For this reason I strongly recommend you use abilities like Thunder Thrust (Spear) and Hatchet Man (Axe) to defeat them. Scoring a critical hit on a Metal Slime will instantly defeat them.

Sadly these slimes don't reward you with the same massive amount of experience that Metal Slimes do despite being like them in most other ways.

Note: If you see the large green king slimes in your Grotto you're in the same location that you'll find these Gem Jamborees. Cumulus Hex enemies are typically on the same floors as the Gem Jamborees too.

After you've obtained the Brilliant Biscuit return to the Stornway Inn and give all of the items to Erinn behind the counter. Watch the scene and then speak with Patty when it's over to complete the quest. Completion of this quest unlocks Side Quest #157.
