Quest #129 A Spot of Book-Keyping - Stornway Castle

Quest Requirements: Speak with the old man in Stornway's Item Shop; Clear a Grotto with "Silver" in the name

Quest Pre-Requirements: Side Quest #023 and Side Quest #127 Complete; This is a DLC Quest

This quest begins by speaking with the Princess who is standing next to the King in Stornway Castle. In order for her to offer this quest you'll first need to complete Side Quest #127 which is offered by the King.

For this quest you will first need to go to the Stornway Item Shop and speak with the old man man standing at the counter. He'll inform you that the item you're looking for is a Little Key and that you'll need to complete a Grotto with "silver" in the name to find it.

If you're unfamiliar with Grottos and would like to learn more about them I would recommend reading my Walkthrough Chapter 9 which covers all of the different post game content in Dragon Quest IX. Grottos reward players with some of the best gear and biggest challenges in the whole game and play a very important role in this game's post game content.

Once you have the little key in hand return to the Princess in Stornway.... Except this time she isn't standing next to the King anymore. She's in her room which can be found by going through the southern doorway in the throne room then into the eastern tower of Stornway Castle. The map above will offer you some guidance too if you're still confused.

After giving the Princess the key she opens the book and collapses *gasp* the plot thickens. Side Quest #131 is now available and it continues this story.
