A Troubled Village - Act 1 Story Quest
A Troubled Village is the first Story Quest of Titan Quest and, as you may imagine, is quite easy. To begin this quest you will want to speak with Timaeus who is nearby where you begin the game. Below you will find a succinct list of steps for completing this quest, the rest of this page will go into detail explaining each step incase you're still stuck on some part.
1. Save Timaeus' horse
2. Speak to Timaeus
3. Investigate the problems in Helos
3. Find and defeat the Satyr Shaman
4. Return to Diomedes in Helos
Once you've spoken with Timaeus and begun this quest you'll need to venture into the field behind him and defeat the enemies attacking his horse. After they're all defeated return to Timaeus and speak with him again before continuing northeast to the Village of Helos.
In the Village of Helos you'll want to speak with Diomedes in the town square to update your quest. Our next destination is north of the Village of Helos; on the otherside of the Helos Farmlands you'll find Helos Woods which is where the Satyr Shaman we need to defeat waits for us.
Prior to heading this direction it is highly recommended that you grind around town first and level up to at least 2. Pick up any items that the enemies drop in this area too and use the Gold to buy Health Potions. We'll be using a lot of them in this game.
The Satyr Shaman can be a tough fight if you come unprepared. Work you way up to where he is slowly and make sure you take out all of the enemies in the area prior to engaging him. If you need heals any time during the battle activate one of the two purple shrines in the immediate area and stand in the aura they put off. Any shrine in this game that glows purple is a Regeneration Shrine; there are more shrines than just this one so keep an eye out for them.
Once you've defeated the Satyr Shaman return to the Village of Helos and speak with Diomedes to turn in the quest. That's all there is to it! Speaking with Diomedes will complete this quest and begin the next one, Spartans At War.
