Leaf: Weapon Rune Word - Diablo 2

Leaf is a very good low level Rune Word for a Sorceress (any spec) as well as a Druid (Fire spec). All it takes to make this Rune Word is a Tir and Ral Rune, both of which can easily be aquired from Normal Countess farming or from progressing through the game normally.

If you need a staff with two Sockets early on, it's recommended you shop at Drognan in Lut Gholein. Drognan has the best chance out of every vendor in the game of selling a gray staff with two open Sockets in it.

Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created. Farming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1.
