On this page you'll find every misc recipe that can be created with the Horadric Cube in Diablo 2. Any recipe that I felt wasn't worth mentioning on the other pages or doesn't fit into the category of the other pages on my website can be found here. For the most part I have the most commonly used/best recipes listed at the top of this page, the less useful ones are further down towards the bottom.

Horadric Cube Charm and Amulet Gambling

 

 

Wirt's Leg + Tome of Town Portal = Secret Cow Level

In order for this recipe to work you must have killed Baal on your current difficulty and you also must be standing in the Rogue Encampment (Act 1). Additionally, if you defeat the Cow King inside of the Secret Cow Level you'll lose your ability to open the portal. The exception to this rule is if you're using the PlugY mod which allows the portal to stay open no matter what.

I have had situations where the Cow Level portal does not open for me even after defeating Baal and logging in/out of the game. I eventually tried again in the future and (most of the time) was able to open a portal. Hopefully this information helps someone else out there who also had this issue a few times.

 

Magic Ring 3 Magic Rings = Magic Amulet 1 Random Magic Amulet

The formula for determining the ilvl of the amulet made is (.75 * Character level). This means if your character is level 99 the level of the amulet created will be 74. All amulets with +2 skills on them have an ilvl of 90 which means it is impossible to get one from this recipe. In order to make an amulet with +2 Skills you'll need to use the gambling recipe on this page.

 

3 Magic Amulets = Magic Ring 1 Random Magic Ring

The formula for determining the ilvl of the ring made is (.75 * Character level). This means if your character is level 99 the level of the ring created will be 74.

 

Perfect Skull 3 Perfect Skulls + Rare Gloves 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan Stone of Jordan = Add 1 Socket to Rare Item

You can only add 1 socket to a Rare item that doesn't already have a socket in it; attempting to add an additional socket in an item already with one will not work. Additionally you can't socket an item that is unable to have sockets.

 

Perfect Skull 1 Perfect Skull + Rare Gloves 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan Stone of Jordan = 1 High Quality Rare Item

This recipe has a chance of creating a higher quality rare than the item you used in the craft. The formula used to determine the item made is... ## (.66 * Character Level) + ## (.66 * Original item ilvl) = ilvl of the new item. Your character level and the input item's ilvl are both rounded down.

Q: How do I see the ilvl of an item? In order to tell the ilvl of an item you need to know where it dropped. For more information about this check the Diablo 2 wiki on Area Level.

 

Perfect Skull 6 Perfect Skulls + Rare Gloves 1 Rare Item = 1 Random Low Quality Rare Item

This recipe is a lot like the Stone of Jordan one above except that it typically produces an item with a lower ilvl than what you put in. The formula used is... ## (.4 * Char Level) + ## (.4 * ilvl) = ilvl of the new item.

Note: Items larger than 3x2 do not work with this recipe.

 

 

4 Health Potions 4 Health Potions (Any Type) + Chipped Ruby 1 Ruby (Any Type) + Magical Sword Magical Sword = Magical Sword of the Leech

The Life Stealing Sword's ilvl will be 30 and it will always have the "of the Leech" suffix (4-5% Life Stolen per hit). What suffix the weapon comes with is random, if it comes with one at all. Last but not least, whatever type of sword you put into the cube is the type of sword that you'll get after combining.

 

Rejuvenation Potion 3 Rejuvenation Potions = Full Rejuvenation Potion 1 Full Rejuvenation Potion

Easy combine for the best potion in the game. Keep in mind that Rejuvenation Potions heal instantly rather than over time.

 

3 Healing Potions 3 Health Potions + 3 Mana Potions 3 Mana Potions + Chipped Amethyst 1 Chipped Gem = Rejuvenation Potion 1 Rejuvenation Potion

This recipe converts health and mana potions into a Rejuvenation Potion.

 

3 Healing Potions 3 Health Potions + 3 Mana Potions 3 Mana Potions + 1 Topaz Gem (Normal) = Full Rejuvenation Potion 1 Full Rejuvenation Potion

For this recipe you'll need to use a Topaz, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, any gem without a prefix like Chipped, Flawed etc.

 

Strangling Gas Potion Strangling Gas Potion + Healing Potion Healing Potion (Any Type) = Antidote Potion Antidote Potion

Quick recipe that allows you to make an Antidote Potion

 

Quiver of Bolts 2 Quivers of Bolts = Quiver of Arrows 1 Quiver of Arrows

The amount of arrows produced is random.

 

Quiver of Arrows 2 Quiver of Arrows = Quiver of Bolts 1 Quiver of Bolts

The amount of bolts produced is random.

 

Spear 1 Spear + Quiver of Arrows 1 Quiver of Arrows = Stack of Javelins 1 Stack of Javelins

Any spear can be used to do this combination.

 

Axe 1 Axe + Dagger 1 Dagger = Throwing Axe Throwing Axe

Any type of Axe and Dagger can be used for this combination.

 

Magic Shield 1 Magic Shield + Spiked Club 1 Spiked Club + Skulls 2 Skulls = Magic Shield of Spikes

You can use any type of Magic Shield, any quality of club and any quality of skulls in this recipe. The shield made will have the suffix "of Spikes" (Attacker takes 4 - 6 Damage) and has a chance of receiving a prefix too.

 

3 Normal Gems + Socketed Magical Weapon 1 Socketed Weapon (Any Type) = Socketed Magical Weapon 1 Socketed Magical Weapon of Same Type

This recipe will basically reroll your weapon into a Magical Weapon (ilvl = 30) that will receive 1 or 2 sockets.

 

Chipped Sapphire 3 Chipped Gems (Any) + Magic Weapon 1 Magic Weapon = Socketed Magic Weapon

This recipe rerolls the entire item and will give it a random amount of sockets (either 1 or 2). The item created from the recipe will be ilvl 30.

Note: If a weapon that can't have sockets like a Javelin is used then this recipe will create a Magical item with no sockets.

 

Eld Rune 1 Eld Rune + Chipped Sapphire 1 Chipped Gem + Low Quality Weapon Low Quality Weapon = Normal Quality Weapon of same type

The item created from this recipe will be ilvl 1 regardless of the item used.

 

Eld Rune 1 El Rune + Chipped Emerald 1 Chipped Gem + Low Quality Armor Low Quality Armor = Normal Quality Armor of same type

The item created from this recipe will be ilvl 1 regardless of the item used.

 

Ort Rune 1 Ort Rune + Normal Weapon Weapon = Fully Repairs Weapon

This recipe does not repair Ethereal Weapons.

 

Ort Rune 1 Ort Rune + Chipped Sapphire 1 Chipped Gem + Normal Weapon Weapon = Charges & Repairs Weapon

This recipe repairs and recharges the weapon.

 

Ral Rune 1 Ral Rune + Normal Armor Armor = Fully Repaired Armor

Does not work on Ethereal Armor.

 

Ral Rune 1 Ral Rune + Flawed Emerald 1 Flawed Gem + Normal Armor Armor = Charges & Repairs Armor

This recipe repairs and recharges the armor.

 

Hel Rune 1 Hel Rune + Scroll of Town Portal Scroll of Town Portal + Socketed Armor Any Socketed Armor = Remove items from Sockets

Destroys every item socketed in the current piece of armor.
